Week 1: Lift Off!

What a whirlwind of a week.

The launch last Saturday was incredible. It went super smooth, our anti-bot measures worked to perfection, and the smart contracts were faultless thanks to the thorough and impeccable testing beforehand.

To date, the protocol has already collected more than 14,000 $CAKE for our Gravity Vault. This makes it a top holder of $CAKE in the first week! Imagine where we’ll be in a few months time.

The presale was great too. Our community whitelisting generated a lot of interest with over 5000 people signing up. Our partnership with Starter was excellent as well. We were a very good fit, and they helped us hit our raise targets easily.

But this was just the start. Now, were onto the fun stuff, and in particular… Continuing the launch momentum whilst navigating a bear trend.

Marketing

Ah, “wen marketing”. Everyone’s favourite post launch term. :)

It’s understandable. We all want the projects that we’re invested in to explode and make us rich. And, certainly, marketing is the path to get there. But marketing has to be done sensibly and strategically, and in a way that will benefit the project over the long term and ensure future success. And this is what we’ve been doing.

Keep in mind that we’re in a bear trend at the moment. And indeed, right after we launched BTC price dumped 20%, along with most other crypto, and… $MONSTA too along with almost everything else.

Now, this is obviously not ideal, and such price corrections induce fear and irritation amongst investors, as nobody likes to see the value of their investment decrease. Often the attempted solution for such price corrections is ill-thought out, and projects tend to throw money at expensive marketing, usually with influencers and ads in an attempt to paddle against the tsunami.

This is not the right approach in a bear trend. The entire market is fearful. The majority of people aren’t buying, they are selling. And those who do buy are very willing to sell quickly at the first sign of a price correction. Paying for expensive marketing in these market conditions would, at best, only pump the price momentarily before then seeing a sell off…

Volume aside (volume fills the $CAKE Gravity Vault and increases its rank in the top $CAKE holder list 🙂), this wouldn’t help the project at all. It would deplete our marketing funds, and the answer to “wen marketing” would be: “NEVER”.

Current “Marketing” Approach

We’re in this for the long haul, and with regards to marketing, we’re being very strategic. This is a serious project, with serious goals. Bear with us.

Since it’s very difficult to pump a coin in such bearish and fearful market conditions we’re taking a more sensible approach, that won’t massively deplete our marketing funds, and most importantly, that ensures our long term success: Building an engaged and loyal community.

Then, when the market stabilises, BOOM. We’ll already have the community, and we can spend some marketing funds on avenues that instantaneously raise awareness, i.e. influencers and so on. We already have all the contacts for numerous high profile influencers, and when the time is right, we WILL utilise them.

Building an engaged and loyal community

We’re currently building out two main platforms.

  1. A bingo and gaming platform. FUN! We’ll have regular games and contests where people can have fun, challenge themselves, and most importantly… win $MONSTA
  2. A payment platform for community supporters. We will have dedicated Telegram channels for social media posts where our community supporters will get rewarded with $MONSTA for helping to promote the project. The more you support Cake Monster, the more $MONSTA you will receive.

Other Marketing

Cake Monster goes China! We see a huge opportunity in China, and we’ve dedicated a lot of time and energy (Mandarin translations FTW!) into setting ourselves up to break into this market and get Chinese investors onboard!

We won’t go into too many specifics right now, because we need to have the market advantage over our competitors. There are a lot of eyes on this project, and we need to be guarded about our paid marketing strategies, since they’re the easiest to replicate.

July 4th you’re going to start seeing some big things over there.

Apart from that we also improved the webpage/application performance and fixed some small bugs. In the upcoming weeks we will release more and more features and make the whole experience more rich and addicting with new stats, reports, leaderboards etc.!

  • Add $MONSTA to Feixiaohao (Chinese CoinMarketCap)

And there is much more planned for the coming weeks including extending our range into other Asian markets such as Japan or Indonesia!

The Bull Run is Coming

Fear not, the bull run is coming. And when it does, Cake Monster will be perfectly positioned to ride the wave.
